About Us

About us

Pinboard is a helpful, information-sharing, weekly email newsletter that was started in 2011 at a London junior school by three parents Amy, Susanna and Sally.

Aware that so much brilliant information was being shared (but also lost) by word-of-mouth, the three devised a single opt-in email noticeboard: one email, once a week.

In a world overwhelmed with information, Pinboard goes back-to-basics and functions just like a traditional pinboard in a community hall. Created by your closed community, for your closed community, Pinboard forms a directly relevant and enjoyable read - delivered in one simple email.

Why it works

After countless babysitters found… bicycles sold… holiday homes rented… theatre tickets sourced… work-experience gained… charities supported…and trusted local professionals recommended…Pinboard has grown by demand and feedback. Separate weekly Pinboard newsletters now exist across a rapidly growing number of schools, local groups and organisations. The one thing they all have in common is supportive, community-spirited information shared safely within a trusted and enclosed group.

Great Editorial

By organic and popular demand Pinboard now also features fun and informative editorial elements such as HAPPY POST (trend-led Fashion & Beauty buys suggested by top editors), CULTURE POST (current Art, Film and Theatre recommendations from those in the know), useful inside knowledge from other Pinboard members, incredible offers & discounts (that you really want!) and regular guest post sections.
